STARS Awards honor best of the home building industry

The North Carolina Home Builders Association presented 55 prestigious STARS awards at the annual STARS Awards Gala on September 26 at the Omni Charlotte Hotel. The STARS Awards program honors the achievements of home building industry professionals from North Carolina and surrounding states.

Winners received recognition in areas such as marketing and advertising, web design, sales/information center, landscape design, interior merchandising, architecture/floor plan, remodeling/renovation and special projects. Awards were also given to local home builders associations. 

[Editor’s Note: With the exception of the “Super Star Awards”, the awards are grouped according to the home builders association that the winner is a member of so that you can quickly find the winners from your area.]

The coveted Super Star Awards went to the following recipients:

Rich Achor of Arena Builders Associates LLC was named the Distinguished Builder Member of the Year. Achor is a member of the Winston-Salem Home Builders Association. Achor was nominated for his leadership, service and dedication to the home builders association, the building industry and the community.

The Community of the Year Awardwas given to Preston Development Company for Cameron Pond in Cary, NC. Cameron Pond offers elegance, a great location and a successful sales record.
